Crowd levels on IKOKA are estimates calculated from typical patterns, public holidays and scheduled events. They are not live counts and can be wrong — sudden weather, a viral social-media post or an unannounced event can change a place within minutes. Use them as one input for your plans, not as a promise, and always follow on-site instructions from staff, police and transport operators.

Theme park wait times, exchange rates, live camera streams and holiday data come from third parties and are shown with their source and the time they were fetched. We do not control them, they may be delayed or temporarily unavailable, and actual prices, rates and waits may differ. Festival dates are checked against organizers’ websites, but schedules can change or events can be cancelled at short notice — please confirm with the official source before you travel.

You may use IKOKA for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please do not attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it at a volume that affects other users, or present our content as your own. Our text and design are protected by copyright; photos remain the property of their photographers and are used under the licenses shown on the photo-credits page.

IKOKA may show advertising and may in the future include affiliate links, for example to SIM cards, rail passes or tours, through which we could earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Paid placements will never change our crowd estimates or editorial opinions.

In line with Japan’s rules against undisclosed advertising (the stealth-marketing regulation under the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations, in force since October 2023), any sponsored content or affiliate recommendation — including in a future Market section — will be clearly labeled “広告” (advertisement) or “PR” in Japanese, with an equivalent label in every other language.

We link to official sites, transport operators and other resources for your convenience. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

IKOKA is provided free of charge and “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on information on the site, such as a missed train, a crowded visit or an exchange-rate difference. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that cannot be excluded.
